The Eureka Main Library at 1313 3rd Street is the main branch of the Humboldt County Library system, opened in 1995 with redwood-inspired, light-filled architecture overlooking Eureka's waterfront. It serves as a vibrant community hub offering extensive book and media collections, public computers and Wi-Fi, the Humboldt Room for local-history research, and the Friends' Serendipity Book Store on the second floor. The library hosts regular free events including children's story times, book clubs, crafting circles, LEGO Club, art exhibits in the Hagopian Gallery, and offers a large meeting room for community rentals.
